STRESS RELIEF: MINDFULNESS SKILLS
FOR EVERYDAY LIFE GROUP

Stress is a part of life, but it doesn't have to dictate how we feel, think, or respond to the world around us. When stress becomes a constant presence in our lives, it can affect our mood, relationships, concentration, and overall well-being.

Stress Relief: Mindfulness Skills for Everyday Life is an eight-week skills group that incorporates mindfulness practices designed to help you better understand your stress responses and develop practical skills for navigating everyday challenges with greater awareness, flexibility, and self-compassion.

Through guided exercises, therapeutic skill-building, and accessible psychoeducation, you’ll have the opportunity to explore new ways of responding to stress and build a toolkit of skills you can continue using in your day-to-day life.

This group is facilitated by Lora Hope, LMSW.

This group may be a good fit if you:

  • Frequently feel stressed, overwhelmed, or mentally exhausted

  • Find yourself caught in cycles of worry, overthinking, or self-criticism

  • Have difficulty slowing down or stepping away from automatic reactions

  • Want to develop healthier ways of responding to challenging thoughts and emotions

  • Would like practical tools to support emotional well-being and build resilience

WHAT TO EXPECT:

  • This is a structured, skills-focused therapy group, rather than a talk therapy group.

  • Each session will center on learning, practicing, and applying skills rather than sharing or processing personal experiences in depth with other group members.

  • Participation will be guided and supportive, with an emphasis on choice, curiosity, and respect for each person’s experience.

  • You won’t be expected to share more than you’re comfortable sharing.

Submitting the form expresses interest and helps us plan the group; it does not commit you to enrollment. We’ll follow up with additional information about scheduling, registration, and next steps.
