NEW TO EMDR & REFRESHER GROUP

Are you a clinician newly trained in EMDR or in need of a refresher? Join our EMDR Basics Consultation Group, a six-month program designed to deepen your understanding and refine your skills in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. We meet once a month on the first Tuesday from 3-5pm MT to provide an in-depth review of EMDR basics, enhance your skills through case discussions, and foster a supportive learning environment.

I will teach a systematic approach to case formulation which empowers clinicians to be able to think more clearly about complex clinical material, especially when starting out. I ask clinicians to bring in a verbatim process recording at least once for a comprehensive consultation experience. Please note that the environment of the group is friendly and collegial. We respect having a beginner's mind and are open to feedback (including to the facilitator) in the service of learning and growth.

ADVANCED EMDR GROUP

For clinicians who are more comfortable with EMDR or are consultants, our Advanced EMDR Consultation Group offers a six-month program with monthly meetings. We explore an integrative approach, incorporating methods such as parts work, somatic psychology, sand tray, psychodynamic theory (including transference and countertransference), and relational psychotherapy. There will also be a person-in-environment focus, which emphasizes understanding individuals and their challenges within the broader context of their environment. This approach recognized that a person's well-being and behavior are influenced by various factors in their social, cultural, economic, and physical surroundings. I encourage clinicians to discuss the impact of racism, sexism, homophobia, and other forms of oppression within the clinical context.
